Re-evaluation vs transformation

Both re-evaluation and transformation are things you can acheive through coaching (and I'm sure other ways!).

I was listening to a podcast recently about transformational coaching and it stuck me that my coaching style is different to this.

Transformational coaching is a deep process to address beliefs and behaviours at their route. This can be incredibly powerful and impactful for someone who has tried to make changes but hasn't got the results they want and sees similar patterns in all areas of their life. Some of this does come out in my coaching, and all types of coaching, but a transformational coach will focus on identifying a belief or trauma which is affecting how we see ourselves and our lives.

In my coaching we absolutely identify beliefs which are impacting emotions and behaviours and often these realisations filter through to areas so the coaching can feel quite powerful. However what I love to work with is adapting to life's changes. So rather than the focus on you needing to change, the focus is on how life is changing and what you want to get out of it. You can make changes in your life, or to your life.

This is why I have called my coaching practice New Phase Life Coaching. There are lots of you out there whose life has changed and shifted around them. I don't think you necessarily need to transform, but some re-evaluation is so useful. You don't need to be a brand new person to embrace a new phase of life. Instead you might want to remember a part of you which has been dormant for a while, or release a part of you which has been waiting in the sidelines. You may want to adapt the structure and schedule of your life. Or maybe you need to sit back and take stock before you move forward so that you are living your life intentionally.

You can re-evaluate at any time. I've coached people who are entering a new decade, or are making a change in their career. It might be as simple as being inspired by this blog post! If you want to talk further about the next phase of your life, book in for a chat with me.
